Welcome to Pokescans! This server has been created to provide members of multiple communities across Canada a safe place they can receive notifications for raids, rare Pokémon, 100%, and MORE obtained from the scanner. By joining this server and requesting ANY role, you are agreeing to have read the following rules and that you take no objections to any of these rules or statements in #faq.

Rules:
MAP OUTAGES, SCANNER INQUIRIES, ETC. ALL MUST BE REPORTED IN #members-support ONLY, DO NOT DM ADMINS

1. Treat others like you would want to be treated. Examples: Keep all disagreements to DM’s. Do not block the Admins or Moderators.
   
2. No NSFW, Obscene, or intentionally Triggering (Trolling) content. This includes text, images, or links featuring nudity, sex, hard violence, or other graphically disturbing content or text. Either posted or your discord name. Changing your name to something obscene will get you banned. Social discussion of politics is permitted with the understanding that the Admins hold final decision on any and all content on this server. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC POLITICAL FORUM
   
3. No Spoofing: Spoofing is the act of falsifying your location so you can play the game from a different location, like your couch. It ruins the game in multiple ways including the unfair advantage at gyms which many areas including my own have seen repeat abuse of spoofing to facilitate gym trolling.
   
4. Do not attempt to impersonate another player or organization. We prefer you keep your discord name the same or close to your in game name. You are permitted to change your name on this server itself which does not affect your discord ID name.
   
5. Do not flood rooms with pictures, 1 or 2 picture(s) is plenty per topic. Spam comes in many forms. Please be patient if you have a large amount of things you are proud of and want to share, that’s OK, just slowly release them over time.
   
6. Do not share paid scan information with other discords, facebook, or any other social media or chat group system. Most areas come with an optional subscription to a paid Pokémon scanning system with notifications for 100% IV’s, 0% IV’s, Rare, Ultra-Rare, Raids, and More as well as access to a map linked below. You can sign up at https://upgrade.chat/pokescans for $5/Month for your area. I regularly give free periods where everyone will get access. Once the timer is already up and you want to show it as an example, that instance would be permitted.
   
7. The #trainer-codes room is for CODES ONLY. Please do not use it for general chat purposes. There are rooms specifically for that for each area as well as all of Canada combined in #everywhere-chat.

Most violations will result in a !warn for 1st offense.

Subsequent offenses will lead to a Mute, Kick and/or Ban all at the discretion of the Moderator team via voting.

We reserve the right to Ban for a 1st offense if our mod team votes that it is necessary or for a blatant disregard for the rules or well being of the community.
